Physically, it can be a challenge for beginners, as running uses muscles that may not be accustomed to regular activity. Mentally, sticking through those first few tough runs is often more important than performance itself. Building endurance over time is crucial for making progress.

What Does an Intermediate Runner Mean?

Intermediate runners have been running consistently for several months and have made significant progress in endurance and technique. They may have completed several races and are comfortable running longer distances at faster paces.
