These are medium weight material. If it's hot you are going to be looking for something lighter.I wear 32-30 Levis and the Medium size fits me fine around the waist and ends just above the knee. If you want baggy get the large. Waistband has plenty of elastic so the large would not fall down.Generally comfortable and I will be wearing them.

I made a slight mistake on sizing. My waist is 39/40 and L was rated as 37 to 41. I can get them on but they are too tight to be comfortable. I should have got XL. In denial as usual.They are very nicely made from good quality fabric that is nice and thick. It's like that sweatshirt material but it's slightly fleecy on the inside. I chose the dark red and it is intense. It's a sort of plum or cherry red.All the seams are neat and well stitched and each of the two side pockets have a zipper.These are very nice shorts that are well made and will keep looking good for a long time. They are a bit tight for me but my wife will look great in them.

These are very high-quality shorts. The fabric is very comfortable and seems well-made, and all the seams are stitched nicely. The shorts hit right in the middle of the knee for me (Ordered a Large and I'm 5'9"). The zippers have good pulls and should hold up to a good bit of wear and tear. No complaints.

Size chart appears to be accurate so definitely stick to that (I focused mainly on my waist size). Shorts are nicely made, and also decently thick material as well. As a 5'11" 180lbs athletic build male with about a 33" waist measurement, the Mediums fit well. Being cotton, they will likely shrink a bit however, so that's something to consider.

These have a looser fit for exercising without being too baggy. Lightweight and comfortable.

In the past I've stayed away from jersey shorts as I've gotten older. There are just too many things I carry everyday like a wallet, keys, phone, pocket knife etc. to have falling out of your pocket and weighing down your shorts that don't have a belt. However, I can wear these comfortably as the pockets have zippers to keep everything secured. And the elastic is tight enough to hold-up the shorts without being too tight.
